The saying goes: "The honor of knowledge is the honor of what is attached to it," so how can worship be attached to the great Qur'an? It is the most honorable and perfect book, and God has exalted its place and supported the truth of its authority, the most eloquent book, and the best system:
"And indeed, it is a mighty Book. Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy." (Fussilat: 41-42)
At Al-Ameen Academy, we specialize in teaching the Quran and Tajweed in New York, helping students connect with the Book of Allah.
The link between the month of Ramadan and the great Qur'an is a tight and close link. In its blessed days and solemn nights, the faithful spirit descended with the great Qur'an to be a guide for the people and a sign of guidance and understanding. Almighty God said:
"The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion." (Al-Baqarah: 186)
So that's why Reading the Qur'an is the best worship in Ramadan during fasting.

Virtues of Reading the Holy Qur'an
1. Enhancing Cognitive Ability – A Muslim who maintains a strong connection with the Qur'an continuously seeks its meanings, exploring books of Tafsir to deepen their understanding.
2. Attaining Allah’s Pleasure – Reading the Qur'an brings blessings in livelihood, protection from hardships, and satisfaction in worldly affairs.
3. Winning Paradise – The Qur'an will intercede for its reciter on the Day of Judgment. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Read the Qur'an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions." (Sahih Muslim)
4. Earning Good Deeds – Every letter recited from the Qur'an brings ten rewards. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Whoever reads a letter of the Book of Allah has a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied ten times. I do not say 'Alif-Lam-Mim' is a letter, but 'Alif' is a letter, 'Lam' is a letter, and 'Mim' is a letter." (Hadith Hasan)
5. Elevating One’s Rank in Paradise – The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"It will be said to the companion of the Qur'an: Read and ascend, and recite as you used to recite in the world, for your rank will be at the last verse you recite."
6. Healing the Soul – The Qur'an cures confusion, protects from despair, and instills inner peace.
7. Teaching Equality – The Qur'an affirms the equality of men and women in responsibility and honor.
8. Eliminating Fear and Superstitions – The Qur'an protects from illusions and falsehoods.
9. Explaining Life and the Universe – It provides the most accurate perspective on human existence.
10. Inspiring Tranquility – Reciting the Qur'an fills the heart with serenity and calmness.

The Importance of Studying the Qur'an
Reflecting on the Qur'an is essential. Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said:
"Do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction." (An-Nisa: 82)
"A blessed Book which We have revealed to you so that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded." (Sad: 29)
"Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?" (Muhammad: 24)
أفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُوْنَ الْقُرْآنَ اَمْ عَلٰى قُلُوْبٍ اَقْفَالُهَا
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim further emphasized:
"Contemplation of the Qur'an is the soul’s gaze upon its meanings, focusing the mind to absorb its wisdom. It is the true purpose of its revelation, beyond mere recitation."
At Al-Ameen Academy, we teach Quran and Tajweed in New York, ensuring students not only recite but also understand and reflect upon its meanings.
It is unfair to see people recite the Qur'an in Ramadan and throughout the year without reflecting on its verses. By making contemplation a daily habit, one purifies their soul, strengthens faith, and aligns with the prophetic method of recitation.
