At Al Ameen Academy, we emphasize the importance of not only learning to recite the Quran but also understanding its virtues and etiquettes. One of the highly recommended practices is making supplication after completing the Quran, whether individually or in a gathering. This is based on the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):

"Recite the Quran and ask Allah through it, for there will come a people after you who will recite the Quran and ask people through it."

In another narration: "Whoever recites the Quran, let him ask Allah through it, for there will come a people who will recite the Quran and ask people through it."

If you are looking for Quran classes for adults online in California, Al Ameen Academy provides structured programs with qualified teachers who guide students in understanding the beauty of the Quran and its proper recitation.

The Best Time to Complete the Quran

The Quran can be recited at any time of the day or night and after every prayer. However, certain times are more beloved to Allah and bring one closer to Him. The most recommended time for reciting the Quran is during the last third of the night.

Abu Sa‘id and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"Indeed, Allah grants respite until the first third of the night has passed. Then, He descends to the lowest heaven and says: ‘Is there anyone seeking forgiveness that I may forgive him? Is there anyone repenting that I may accept his repentance? Is there anyone asking that I may grant him? Is there anyone supplicating that I may answer him?’ until the break of dawn."

At Al Ameen Academy, students can learn Arabic and Quran online in California with expert teachers who provide personalized instruction, ensuring that students master both recitation and Tajweed.

The second most virtuous time is at Fajr (dawn), as Allah says:

"Establish prayer at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night and the recitation of the dawn. Indeed, the recitation of the dawn is witnessed." (Surah Al-Isra 17:78)

During this time, divine mercy descends upon the believers.

The third recommended time is after Fajr prayer. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"If people knew the reward of the call to prayer and the first row in prayer, and they could not attain it except by drawing lots, they would certainly do so. If they knew the reward of arriving early for prayer, they would race for it. And if they knew the reward of the night and dawn prayers, they would come to them even if they had to crawl."

For those who wish to perfect their recitation, our Tajweed teacher online programs offer comprehensive lessons tailored to different skill levels, helping students refine their pronunciation and fluency.

Other times during the day are also suitable for Quran recitation. However, it is important to note that Caliph Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) once saw a young man reciting the Quran during work hours and asked him, “Who provides for you?” The young man replied, “My brother.” Umar then said, “Your brother is more devoted in worship than you. This Quran was revealed to be acted upon—have you made its recitation your occupation?”

At Al Ameen Academy, we strive to make Quran learning accessible and effective, ensuring that students of all ages can develop a strong connection with the Quran, whether through online Tajweed classes, Quran memorization, or Arabic language courses.
